There are tonnes of sales and advertising models readily available to entrepreneurs, now more than ever. Thanks to technology.
For the sake of our topic, let’s talk Facebook ads.
Some rely on organic posting, some try to tick the boxes on paid ads.
Which is better?
Well paid is better, obviously, but not all the time, if you’re doing it wrong.
When you create content, think of how you would be talking to your reader THROUGH THE CONTENT. How human friendly is your post?
Because in social media, “social” is the name of the game.
How does this play on paid ads thus causing low rankings on conversions.
What did we say conversions were again?
We didn’t. Not in this post. So let’s see.
Conversion is:
“The process of getting a prospect to perform a desired action as a direct response to your content”
Depending on what you’ve aimed your end desired action to be.
It could be Filling a Form online; Sending a Message on Messenger; Leaving a Comment on a specific post; Sending an Email.
You created specific content with the aim of driving your prospect to perform your desired action as a response to your content.
So. Now that that’s been explained, let’s get back!
So what’s happening?
You created the post, you paid for the post to run as an ad, your image quality is great, your message is great, but your conversions are low to zero.
What’s going on?
You’re either doing one of these two things.
You’re not putting the corresponding CTA option on your ad.
For eg. You want more bookings via email but you haven’t provided email address, so you’re just getting likes, comments and shares on your paid ad.
How do you expect someone to contact you to make bookings when all you put on your post was a nice picture of the service/ product with the caption email: abc@123.com thinking that readers will immediately save your address and email you for bookings.
Prospects only have 15 seconds of attention at any given time on any post on their screen before they continue scrolling, stop putting your email address on the flyer, on the caption, include the email address IN THE AD as your CTA (Call to Action). So when prospects click on your ad, they are immediately redirected to a landing page where they can send an email TO YOU.
We live in a time of on-demand, convenience and now. Dont make your client wait longer than they should.
If you’re doing this right but still getting low conversions, then it must be your reach.
My what?
Your reach.
Who are you talking to?
You must know who your audience is before you go to sell to them.
Imagine a salesman for a butchery, going to his meeting, armed with his best menu of pork dishes to showcase his catering client who just so happens to be an Adventist worshipper.
❌❌❌❌❌
You dont have to be a rocket scientist to predict what would happen next.
Off course there would be ZERO conversion.
Good content +Wrong reach/Wrong audience = NO CONVERSION.
So Rowanna, what are you saying?
Well, I’m saying two things that I think you should pay more attention to when you want to run Facebook ads for your business if you want to get a high conversion rate.
Put the best matched CTA IN YOUR AD.
Know and curate your audience.
That’s all for now.
