Just like all the different types of marketing methods available out there, email marketing also requires a STRATEGY.

A good strategy suited to achieving your goals and objectives.

For email marketing, we basically use the “inbound methodology” strategy and tailor it to suit our specific goals.

This is a method of “attracting, engaging and delighting” people which in turn grows a business that gives value and builds trust.

Ok ok ok, what does this really mean?

Well…………….. email plays on this methodology.

Ok so how does it really really work?

The inbound methodology plays on three main sectors ATTRACTING, ENGAGING & DELIGHTING the typical human being.


Attracting – This could mean providing through email helpful and creative content to the recipient that demonstrates YOUR KNOWLEDGE; or the ability to ANSWER QUESTIONS that people may have; or providing KNOWLEDGE DOCUMENTS that make your company/small business easy for the recipient to find.

(possibly what I am doing now, sharing FREE KNOWLEDGE to attract you to this group). 😁


Engaging -This is all about the building the relationship via email. Keeping the conversation going. Remember, email marketing is all about being continuous in building your relationship with the recipient. It’s NOT A ONE OFF thing. And that’s why many small businesses here fail at email marketing or fail to understand and harness the full power of email marketing. After attracting your audience, continue to provide quality helpful content that keeps the relationship going so that eventually trust is built between you and the recipient.
Trust is biggest achievement in building relationships through email marketing.
Once you’ve gained trust, you’ve gained a brand ambassador. A person who is going to be talking about your business to others FOR FREE and, congratulations, you’ve just earned yourself a FREE MARKETER. 😎🌟


Delighting – Once trust is built, your chances of delighting the recipient is guaranteed. They will actually look forward to recieving your email. They’re already wired to be more inclined to making a purchase from you and naturally wired to be talking about you and referring you to others.


You’re using email to engage with and delight your customers who’ll in turn be happy promoters of your products and services to others. Hence the cycle continues and grows.
